Yr5 Mandela Exhibition
Year 5 embarked on an exciting trip to Waterloo, where they visited the recently opened Nelson Mandela exhibition. Children discovered the early life, struggles and how one man became ‘father of South Africa’ for his ingenious leadership skills and perseverance through hardships in life. The exhibition allowed children to connect with issues of race and discrimination in the past, adding to their studies in Topic this term.
