Nursery Spaces Available
We currently have spaces available in our Nursery. We invite interested parents to contact the school office to arrange an appointment with our Nusery Teacher, Ms Spurrs. This is an opportunity to visit our setting and speak with the staff.
Children can be added to our nursery waiting list once they turn 2 years old. We typically contact families by letter to offer a place around the time the child turns 3. Once a place is available, we will provide a date for you to meet the nursery teacher and register your child, followed by a confirmed start date.

Please note: A place in our Nursery does not guarantee a place in the main school (Reception to Year 6).

Admissions
Children join our Reception classes during the academic year in which they reach their fifth birthday. For all year groups from Reception to Year 6, admissions are managed centrally by the London Borough of Newham; the school does not admit these pupils directly.

In-year admissions into primary school (mid-term)
If you move into Newham during the 2025/2026 school year and require a school place, you must complete an In-Year Admission Form. The Local Authority usually allocates a place within 10 working days, though this place may not be at your first-choice school if that year group is full.
The London Borough of Newham is the Admission Authority for Earlham Primary School. Any appeals regarding admissions must be directed to them at 020 8430 2000.

Important deadlines for September 2026
For families planning entry for the September 2026 academic year, please note the following requirements:
Reception Entry: Applications for Reception places must be submitted via the Pan London eAdmissions portal by the closing date of 15th January 2026.
Junior School (Year 3) Transitions: If your child currently attends an infant school, you must apply for a Year 3 place by 15th January 2026, even if they have a sibling at the junior school. If your child is already in a primary school and you wish for them to remain there, no further action is required.
Secondary School (Year 7) Transitions: For children born between 1 September 2014 and 31 August 2015, the deadline to apply for a secondary school place is 31st October 2025. We recommend that Year 6 families attend local Open Days and name six school preferences, including your local school, to maximize the opportunity of securing a preferred placement.

Fair Access
Earlham Primary School participates in the London Borough of Newham Fair Access Protocol (FAP). This protocol ensures that children without a school place, particularly those in vulnerable circumstances, are offered appropriate placement as quickly as possible. This system ensures a balanced distribution of pupils across all schools in the borough.
