Year 4 discover science in the park!
Year 4 have been studying plants in science, looking at the structure of plants and what each part of the plant does. We then took their learning outside and went on a plant trail in West Ham Park. Here we used leaves and bark to identify different plants - and were very excited to discover many of the plants our classes are named after! We looked at leaf and root structure, and how these help scientists classify plants into different groups. It was exciting to do our learning outside and to have a chance to be real scientists!
