Hyde Park Barracks
What an experience!!! Earlham pupils visited Hyde Park Barracks for a fascinating day finding out about all the careers that are involved in guarding the Queen.
Farriers work in a forge and are responsible for making sure the horses have well fitting shoes to protect their hooves from all the trotting on roads they do.
We also learnt about the important work that tailors and saddlers do. There all different outfits for every rank and guard regiment- for the humans AND the horses!
And our favourite part of the visit was feeding the HUGE drum horses polo mints!
Thank you to everyone at Hyde Park Barracks. We had an amazing and informative day!
